Human Trafficking 101: A Walk in Their Shoes Simulation is an educational program designed to raise awareness about human trafficking and its impact on communities. The event features an interactive simulation that helps participants understand how traffickers operate and how quickly individuals—especially young people—can become vulnerable.
Participants will take part in a guided simulation experience followed by an educational presentation that highlights warning signs of trafficking and provides information on how individuals can better protect themselves and others.
The program is open to the community and is recommended for ages 13 and older.
The event will take place on April 18 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the Xavier Center at St. Francis Xavier Parish, located at 465 Table Rock Road in Gettysburg. Doors close promptly at 2:00 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to arrive early.
Space is limited, and registration is required by April 14. To register, email [email protected].
A free will offering is encouraged and will be donated to She’s Somebody’s Daughter, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports survivors of human trafficking. Donations of hygiene items for survivors will also be appreciated.
