America 250 Celebration at the Adams County Farmers Market

Celebrate Independence Day and America’s 250th birthday at the Adams County Farmers Market on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gettysburg Rec Park.

The market will be open during its regular hours, featuring local farmers, vendors, fresh food, handmade goods, and family-friendly shopping. In honor of America 250, visitors can also enjoy ceremonial cannon firings by Raines Battery, Civil War living history demonstrations, and educational displays that bring American history to life.

Reenactors will be on-site to share stories, answer questions, and offer a glimpse into daily life during the Civil War era. This special celebration offers a unique opportunity to support local small businesses while experiencing hands-on history and patriotic fun for the whole family.

This event serves as a festive lead-in to A Gettysburg Fourth, Gettysburg’s Fourth of July celebration, culminating with fireworks at 9:15 p.m.
