Explore one of Gettysburg’s most compelling historic sites during an Author Walk-and-Talk with Ron Kirkwood at the George Spangler Farm & Field Hospital on Friday, July 31, at 6:00 p.m. Presented by the Gettysburg Foundation, this evening program combines expert storytelling with a guided walk across the preserved Civil War field hospital site.
Ron Kirkwood, author of Too Much for Human Endurance and Tell Mother Not to Worry, leads a presentation and guided walk through the historic farm. Guest speakers also share stories about the soldiers, medical workers, and civilians connected to the site.
The program offers a closer look at the George Spangler Farm’s role during and after the Battle of Gettysburg. Participants should dress for walking and changing weather, as the outdoor event depends on favorable conditions.
Tickets are $20, and ticket holders may drive directly to the George Spangler Farm & Field Hospital, where on-site parking is available. Additional information and tickets are available through the Gettysburg Foundation.
