Book lovers, bargain hunters, teachers, collectors, and families gather in Gettysburg, PA for three packed days of browsing, discovery, and community fun during the Book Sale Bonanza hosted by Friends of the Adams County Library System. Taking over Redding Auction Services at 1085 Table Rock Road from July 23-25, the annual event transforms the space into a giant pop-up marketplace filled with thousands of books, hundreds of DVDs and records, puzzles, and hidden gems waiting to be uncovered.
The event runs Thursday and Friday from 9 am to 7 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm, creating plenty of time to explore every section and stock up on summer reading. A food truck keeps the atmosphere lively throughout the weekend while shoppers recharge between rounds of browsing. Children receive five free books, teachers can claim 15 free classroom books on Friday, and seniors and guests with special needs gain early access Friday from 8:30 am to 9 am with volunteers available to assist.
Saturday’s popular bag sale adds another layer of excitement with one bag for $5 or two for $10 plus a free third bag. Every purchase supports the Adams County Library System and helps fund free community programs, services, and new library materials across Adams County.
