Celebrate America – Memorial Day Weekend Choral Concert

Celebrate America is a patriotic Memorial Day weekend choral concert presented by the Gettysburg Choral Society under the direction of John McKay. The Gettysburg performance will take place on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of The United Lutheran Seminary on Seminary Ridge.

The program commemorates America’s 250th anniversary and features choral music spanning from the Revolutionary War era to the present day, including Chester, Shenandoah, Battle Hymn of the Republic, and the ensemble’s signature work, The Gettysburg Address. A special musical tribute will honor United States veterans and active service members, highlighted by guest bugler Jari Villanueva performing Taps.

Admission is free and open to the public, and tax-deductible donations are gratefully accepted to help offset concert expenses.

The concert will also be performed on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hanover, Pennsylvania.
