Coffee with a Historian
Gettysburg Lincoln Railroad Station in downtown Gettysburg, Pennsylvania hosts Coffee with a Historian, a relaxed morning series that pairs local history with casual conversation in one of the borough’s most iconic landmarks. Set beneath the station’s covered pavilion, these one-hour discussions offer a small-group setting where attendees can engage directly with knowledgeable historians and explore questions that go beyond the standard tour experience.
Each session features a different speaker, bringing a range of perspectives tied to Gettysburg and the broader Adams County region. Scheduled dates include May 23 with Therese Orr, June 20 with Rob Abbott, July 18 with Ralph Siegel, August 15 with Mike Rupert, and September 19 with Ted Hirt. Conversations remain informal and participant-driven, creating a welcoming environment for both casual visitors and dedicated history enthusiasts.
Coffee is provided, and seating remains limited to maintain the intimate format. Advance ticket reservations are required for all sessions.
