The start location is different from the information on the Winter Hike Flyer. Park at Sachs Bridge on Waterworks Rd, off of Pumping Station. The walk/hike, led by Marty Qually, will be along Marsh Creek, over the John Eisenhower bridge onto the Eisenhower Farm property. A volunteer will meet us at the farm and share information about why Eisenhower settled in Gettysburg and how he used the farm for diplomacy and more as we walk around the large property. Then return to Sachs Bridge. Road and gravel paths. Easy (Parking is also available at The Gettysburg Nature Alliance, the next driveway south of Waterworks when you are coming from Gettysburg on Pumping Station Road, adds about 50 yards to the hike!
We will follow CDC guidelines for outdoor activities that are in effect at the time of the hike. Trails may be uneven or muddy. Please wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring a water bottle. Walks are held rain or shine. In case of severe weather please check www.facebook.com/healthyadamscounty .
