Gettysburg Brass Band Festival

This festival features 21 bands from 7 states – Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia – performing at the Main Stage of the United Lutheran Seminary and locations around downtown Gettysburg. Get the full schedule here.

Community Band Night 6 – 9 p.m., June 7. The Carlisle Brass Band, Adams County Community Band and Destinations Big Band perform on the Main Stage at the United Lutheran Seminary.

Tuba Open Golf Brass Benefit, June 8 at the beautiful Carroll Valley Golf Course. Shotgun start at 8 a.m. Registration forms available here.

Jazz Al Fresco brass benefit, tent opens at 6 p.m.; event from 7 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., June 8 at the Main Stage. Dinner and Jazz with the Brubeck Brothers Jazz Quartet. ’23 Al Fresco Jazz reservation form.

Bands in the Borough Night 6 – 9 p.m., June 9. Ben Jones Brass, Lancers Drum Corps, Hot House Jazz and Antebellum Marine Band perform on the Dobbin House Patio, Gettysburg Heritage Center, Lincoln Square and Mr. G’s.

Main Stage Brass Saturday and Sunday, June 10 & 11. See the Benfield, Spires, Rockville Brass Bands and Baltimore’s New Town Traditional Jazz Band from Maryland; Imperial and Atlantic Brass Band from New Jersey; Cathedral Brass and Brass of the Potomac of Virginia; Ohio’s Brass Band of Columbus and the Columbus Youth All-Star Band; the Chesapeake Silver Cornet Band from Delaware, and the Syracuse University(NY) Brass Ensemble. 

Saturday’s performances concludes with the moving Taps Tribute at sundown on the battlefield. And Reading, PA’s Ringgold Band close out the festival performances Sunday afternoon.

All non-fundraising concerts or events are free and open to all.

This free event is organized by community volunteers in partnership with the Lutheran Seminary, Music Gettysburg! Concert Series and Destination Gettysburg.
