Camp Colt in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, was the first post established during World War I to train soldiers to use tanks, and it was Dwight D. Eisenhower’s first command. Paul Shevchuk, former National Park Service ranger and historian, will use camp photos and describe how Eisenhower’s time there shaped his military career. This program will run from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022 (the rain date for this program is October 29, 2022). Participants are being asked to park in the Soldiers National Cemetery Overflow Parking Lot, across the road from the main parking lot.
Tickets are $15 for Members, and $25 for Non-Members.
