Let the battle walks begin! Join Garry Adelman and Tim Smith for a lively discussion of the battle, battlefield, commercialization and preservation of the south end of the Gettysburg Battlefield. Battle accounts, wartime and postwar photos, “old guide stories,” and group discussion will highlight the day. Please note that this is a rigorous hike. Only those who can stand for long periods of time and walk at least six miles should sign up. Make sure to bring snacks and/or a lunch along! The battle walk will begin on SW Confederate Avenue, by the Warfield Ridge Observation Tower (Longstreet Tower).
