Gettysburg Beyond the Battle Museum

This free program will air on the ACHS Facebook page and will be presented by author and historian Tim Smith.┬áThe program will focus on the experiences of our area’s earliest settlers during the French & Indian War:

During the period of early European settlement, the area that is now Adams County, Pennsylvania was truly the frontier. During the French and Indian War (1754-1758), area residents were caught in the midst of a struggle that would change the course of world history. Fear and panic were widespread as raiding parties of French and Native American forces killed settlers, and local men armed themselves as organized militia.

The program will be streamed on Facebook Live. After the program, we will post the video to our YouTube channel.
