Mud College Schoolhouse Open House

Built in 1869, the Pleasant Grove School known as Mud College, re-opens its 153-year-old door to the public.

Serving grades 1-8 students from Gettysburg and Littlestown until 1951, the event features a ribbon cutting followed by tours and a signing by Elsie Darrah Morey of her book The Pleasant Grove School “Mud College.”  Live music by Dixie Mix from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.

Come out with family and friends for a fun, educational “back to school” afternoon of a bygone era.

The event is free; directed parking provided.
