‘On the Eve of Battle’ Dinner

On June 30, join SRMEC staff and friends for a buffet-style dinner in the historic Seminary Refectory, 160 years to the evening since John Buford’s men camped on Seminary Ridge. Our meal, catered by Ragged Edge, will be inspired by authentic Civil War recipes of the battlefield and home front.

Brian Matthew Jordan, Associate Professor of History at Sam Houston State University, will join us to speak on his forthcoming book project, Crucible of the Republic.

And as the sun descends toward the South Mountain horizon, Museum staff will lead a walking tour examining the Seminary grounds on the night before the beginning of the largest battle in the Western Hemisphere.
