“On the Eve of Battle” Dinner

On June 28, join SRMEC staff and friends for a dinner in the historic Seminary Refectory, 161 years since John Buford’s men camped on Seminary Ridge. Our meal, catered by Ragged Edge, will be inspired by authentic Civil War recipes of the battlefield and home front.

Jennifer Murray, Teaching Associate Professor of History at Oklahoma State University, will join us for an after-dinner presentation, “George Meade Takes Command”.

And as the sun descends toward the South Mountain horizon, Museum staff will lead a walking tour examining the Seminary grounds on the night before the beginning of the largest battle in the Western Hemisphere.
