Join Seminary Ridge Museum and Education Center as they welcome special guest Peter Lukacs for a guided walking tour of the historic Lutheran Theological Seminary campus. Lukacs, who has authored three books on Gettysburg witness trees, and fellow presenter Kaleb Kusmierczyk, Director of Museum Operations, will share stories about the remarkable Witness Trees at the Seminary.
Witness trees silently observed some of the fiercest fighting during the Battle of Gettysburg. On this guided sunset walk, discover the fascinating stories behind these living artifacts and learn how they survived the crossfire of 1863.
This event is free and open to the public; weather permitting. Participants are asked to meet at the Luther statue.
Seminary Ridge Museum and Education Center integrates education, preservation, innovation, and celebration into every visitor experience and connects audiences to the human stories, moral complexities, and enduring legacies of Seminary Ridge, the Battle of Gettysburg, and, by extension, the United States. In 2026, as the United States continues to celebrate its 250th anniversary, Seminary Ridge historians and educators present the people, places, and principles that shaped the shared American story.
