GCCA presents Ivalas

The Gettysburg Community Concert Association (GCCA) will present Ivalas as the first concert of its 2026 spring season at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

Formed in 2017, Ivalas has been changing the face of classical music with a mission to enrich the classical music world by spotlighting past and present composers who are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color alongside standard repertory. The ensemble features violinists Reuben Kebede and Tiani Butts, violist Marcus Stevenson, and cellist Pedro Sánchez, musicians who believe in the power of music to create positive change in communities.

The concert will take place at St. James Lutheran Church, 109 York Street, Gettysburg. Admission is $20 at the door and free for GCCA members, college students with a valid ID, and anyone under age 19 (children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult). Limited free parking is available at St. James, with additional free parking at the Gettysburg Presbyterian Church parking lot off High Street.

Spring membership subscriptions are $30 and include free admission to all spring 2026 GCCA concerts in Gettysburg, as well as additional spring performances in Waynesboro and Hagerstown through reciprocal concert association agreements. Concerts at partner associations feature a variety of musical styles including classical, country, western, pop, folk, and comedy.
