The Gettysburg National 19th Century Base Ball Festival returns July 18–19, 2026, for its 16th annual event at Schroeder Family Farm, once again bringing together one of the largest gatherings of vintage base ball clubs in the country.
More than two dozen teams from across the United States will take the field using the rules, uniforms, and equipment of 1864, giving spectators a rare chance to experience the game as it was originally played—without gloves, modern gear, or distractions. The result is a fast-paced, authentic look at America’s pastime in its earliest days.
Set against the scenic backdrop of Adams County, the festival offers a lively and family-friendly way to step back in time and enjoy the sights, sounds, and spirit of 19th century base ball. It is a celebration of history, community, and tradition—an experience as classic as base ball, America, and apple pie.
Held at 965 Pumping Station Road, the festival continues a tradition that has drawn players and spectators alike since 2010. As the nation marks America’s 250th, the event offers a fitting way to celebrate one of the country’s most enduring pastimes in a place where history comes to life.
Bring a blanket, bring the family, and settle in for a weekend of history, heritage, and base ball.
