Grand Opening of Thaddeus Stevens Museum Annex

Thad’s Place, the Thaddeus Stevens Museum, is growing!

April 5th, see the new museum space and tour the main museum that has been open since March of 2024. The grand opening at 5 p.m. will be followed by a presentation at 6:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church at 30 Chambersburg Street. Hear about the Emancipation Proclamation, the history of the church and the kidnapping of Black citizens during the Gettysburg campaign of 1863, and Thaddeus Stevens.

Light refreshments will be served.
