The third installment in HGAC’s Educational Speaker Series brings author Ron Kirkwood to the historic G.A.R. Hall on Thursday, June 18. Known for his work on the Spangler Farm, as documented in his book Too Much for Human Endurance, Kirkwood will present “The Women Who Came to the Rescue at the Spangler Farm,” sharing the stories of those who cared for the wounded and dying in the aftermath of the battle.
The series is free and open to the public and is held at 53 East Middle Street in Gettysburg. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 7 p.m. No reservations are required, and the venue is handicapped accessible.
