HGAC Educational Speakers Series: Ted Hirt

HGAC’s Educational Speaker Series continues on Thursday, May 21 at the historic G.A.R. Hall, 53 East Middle Street in Gettysburg, featuring Gettysburg Town Guide Ted Hirt. His presentation explores the civilian experience during the Battle of Gettysburg, including events at the southern end of town, the “eight miles from slavery” story, and lesser-known aspects of the community during the conflict.

The series is free and open to the public and is held on the third Thursday of each month. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 7 p.m. No reservations are required, and the venue is handicapped accessible.
