HGAC Homespun Christmas and Holiday Market

Guests visiting MainStreet’s “A Gettysburg Christmas” Festival on December 4-6 this year are invited to treat themselves to a venue down a path less traveled. Located on East Middle Street, the historic G.A.R. Building hosts HGAC’s Annual Homespun Christmas and Holiday Market.

Holiday shoppers seeking unique gifts or holiday décor – or maybe a tasty snack – are encouraged to drop by the Homespun Market and shop for hand-crafted items as well as satisfy a sweet tooth at HGAC’s traditional bake sale, featuring cookies, cake and Mamie Eisenhower’s famous fudge.

Be sure to check out the items handmade by our creative HGAC volunteers — including repurposed holiday crafts from HGAC’s Architectural Salvage Warehouse by Salvage Sisters Kendra Kaufmann and Andie Donahue, and hand-crafted wooden bird houses, Christmas trees, reindeers and more by HGAC member Mike Koziski. Guest vendors will be on hand, and holiday greens will be for sale.

Hours for the market this year will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4; from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5; and from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6. The G.A.R. Building is located in the middle of the block, at 53 E. Middle Street. (Look for the cannons and the lion statues.)
