Historic Majestic Theater Tours

The Majestic Theater in Gettysburg invites guests to explore backstage, below the stage, and other areas typically closed to the public during special behind-the-scenes tours on November 16 and 17, 2026, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. each day.

The tours highlight the history and operations of the historic performing arts center and cinema, from its opening as a vaudeville theater in 1925 to its days welcoming moviegoers Ike and Mamie Eisenhower. Guests will also learn about the theater’s $16.5 million renovation, which began in 2004 and became a model for historic theater restorations nationwide, and its continued role in the community following its 100th anniversary in 2025.
