Get the GuideApril 14th
Homeschool families are invited to attend a springtime bug event on Tuesday, April 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This festival-style program offers hands-on activities designed to supplement homeschool curriculum while getting learners of all ages outdoors for a day of discovery and fun.
Throughout the event, participants will learn about insects and their role in the environment through live animal presentations, interactive lessons on insect communication, and activities that explore how bugs eat, live, and survive. Families can create a take-home bug hotel, join nature hikes to search for insects in forest and aquatic habitats, and test their knowledge during insect trivia with prizes. A lunch break will take place at the pavilion, with lunch brought from home, and the Nature Classroom will remain open for exploration throughout the day.
The schedule is subject to change, and families are encouraged to come and go throughout the day to enjoy this engaging and educational spring event.
