Ms. Hettie’s Quilting Bee: A Sewing Social

Calling all quilters: On Saturday, October 3rd at 4:30 pm, the Shriver House Museum is excited to host a Quilting Bee!

During the Civil War-era, ladies worked on quilting projects together to save on time, which quickly became a social gathering for sharing information, news, announcements, and local gossip. Shriver House tour guide and quilter, Gayle Underwood, hosts an exclusive opportunity to quilt inside the Shrivers’ 1860 home on Baltimore Street in Historic Gettysburg. All supplies will be provided.

Tickets are limited for this intimate quilting experience.
Guests are invited to place their own stitch in this ongoing quilting project.
