Music, Gettysburg! presents the Kolodner Quartet in a free outdoor concert at 6 PM on Sunday, July 19, at the United Lutheran Seminary pavilion in Gettysburg, PA. Set on the historic Seminary Ridge campus near the corner of Springs Avenue and Seminary Ridge, the performance pairs outstanding American Roots music with one of the area’s most memorable historic settings.
Led by acclaimed musicians Ken and Brad Kolodner, the quartet brings together masterful performances on fiddle, hammered dulcimer, guitar, and other traditional instruments. Joined by two equally accomplished collaborators, the group celebrates the rich musical traditions that have shaped America for more than 250 years while blending in original compositions inspired by those enduring styles. Their lively musicianship and engaging stage presence create an enjoyable experience for longtime folk music fans as well as newcomers.
The concert highlights the connection between American history, culture, and music, making it an excellent fit for audiences interested in live performances, heritage arts, and Gettysburg’s historic landscape. If weather requires a change of plans, the performance moves indoors to the seminary chapel on the United Lutheran Seminary campus.
Admission is free.
