In this hour long program, participants will:-Enjoy story time with a book about farming, fruits, veggies, insects, and more.-Learn about various aspects of farming with hands-on activities.-Take home something special each week – from hand-picked fruit to a hand-made craft.There are TWO time options for Read Learn Grow, 9:00am and 10:30am. HABPI’s 10th Annual Ride for Trails takes place Saturday morning, October 4th, beginning and ending at the Gettysburg Area Recreation Park. Three different routes are offered to accommodate riders of all experience levels. All rides travel through the Gettysburg National Military Park and over the picturesque Sachs Covered Bridge. The longer rides also wind their way through the quiet roads of southern Adams County. It wouldn’t be August without the Peach Festival featuring Hollabaugh’s famous ice cream tent serving up peach sundaes and pie a-la-mode. Guests can indulge in peach ice cream and milkshakes and lots of peach products to sample. The bakery features delicious peach bread, muffins, scones, sugar cakes, and of course peach pies. With live music, wagon rides, face painting by professional artist Yu Li and more, this is the most popular festival of Hollabaugh’s fruit festival season.The festival is free to attend with a $5 parking fee, a portion of which benefits local charities.
