Patriotic Pictures

The Adams County Library System presents Patriotic Pictures, a United States 250th anniversary–themed film and discussion series, on January 20, 2026, at 6:00 PM and February 17, 2026, at 6:00 PM. Attendees are invited to bring a snack and beverage and enjoy a curated selection of movies or documentaries highlighting key moments and figures in American history.

On January 20, the program features a film about Johnny, a Boston silversmith’s apprentice who becomes a fervent patriot during the Revolutionary era. 

On February 17, the program showcases a film about a Broadway musical celebrating one of the nation’s founding fathers. 

Following each screening, participants are encouraged to engage in discussion, sharing insights and reflections with fellow attendees.   

This program promotes education and preservation of the historical context surrounding the founding of the United States while celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary. By combining entertainment with thoughtful discussion, Patriotic Pictures offers the community an opportunity to reflect on the past and consider its influence on the future.
