Patriotic Pictures is a United States 250th anniversary–themed movie and documentary series presented by the Adams County Library System at the Gettysburg Branch, located at 140 Baltimore Street in Gettysburg. Programs will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on April 21 and May 19.
Attendees are invited to bring a snack and beverage and enjoy a film or documentary connected to the American Revolution and the nation’s founding era. Following each screening, participants are encouraged to stay for a group discussion with fellow attendees.
April’s program highlights the events of the morning of April 19, 1775, when the Revolution began with the “shot heard ’round the world.”
May’s screening follows a trapper and his young son who become unwilling participants in the conflict and remain involved through its conclusion.
