Get the GuideJune 16th
Patriotic Pictures brings a summer series of history-themed films and discussion to the Adams County Library on select Tuesday evenings from 5:00–8:00 PM. Taking place June 16, July 21, and August 18, this United States 250th anniversary-inspired program combines classic storytelling, American history, and lively conversation in the heart of downtown Gettysburg.
Guests can bring a favorite snack and beverage while enjoying films and documentaries centered on pivotal moments from the American Revolution and the nation’s founding era. The June screening follows American Major John Bolton as he stages a false desertion to uncover a British plot targeting the strategic stronghold of West Point. July features a musical retelling of the political struggle inside the Continental Congress as delegates debate declaring independence from Britain. August closes the series with a celebrated Broadway musical focused on one of the nation’s founding fathers and the shaping of early America.
Following each presentation, attendees can stay for an informal discussion with fellow moviegoers to share perspectives, historical insights, and favorite moments from the evening. Patriotic Pictures adds another engaging community program to Gettysburg’s ongoing commemoration of the nation’s 250th anniversary while connecting history, film, and conversation in a relaxed library setting.
