Sacrifice on Seminary Ridge – Exhibit Unveiling

Seminary Ridge Museum and Education Center presents a public unveiling of Sacrifice on Seminary Ridge, a special exhibition featuring wartime portraits and personal accounts of the patients, surgeons and nurses whose lives intersected within the Lutheran Theological Seminary during and after the battle of Gettysburg.

Many of the featured individuals fought around the seminary on July 1, 1863, entered its hospital grievously wounded, or worked within its walls to care for the suffering. Their faces and stories offer an intimate look at the human cost of the battle and the extraordinary of those who served in the Seminary hospital.

The event on October 9 is from 6-8:30 and will feature remarks from collaborators and partners.
