By the 1970s, the Historic Dobbin House stood at the brink of loss—weathered, neglected, and facing possible demolition. In 1976, during the nation’s Bicentennial, one young couple and a team of experts began the process of saving it.
Through photographs, stories, and behind-the-scenes insights, this program traces the remarkable restoration that brought the house back to life—preserving not just a building, but a tangible link to Gettysburg’s colonial past. Longtime owner Jackie White, who led the restoration, will present this special closing program in the Dobbin House Dinner Series.
This program will take place Saturday, August 29th at 89 Steinwehr Avenue, Gettysburg. Dinner will be at 6 p.m. followed by the program at 7 p.m.
Registration is required. The cost is $60 per person for dinner and the program. Program-only tickets are not available. Reserve your tickets here.
