Seminary Ridge Museum and Education Center hosts the “On the Eve of Battle” Dinner on June 30 from 6–8:30 p.m. at 111 Seminary Ridge in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Held on the 163rd anniversary of John Buford’s encampment, this special evening connects directly to PA 250 and the broader commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary, highlighting Gettysburg’s enduring role in shaping the nation’s story.
Guests will enjoy a barbecue dinner catered by Northern Redneck BBQ, followed by a featured presentation from historian Chris Mackowski, Ph.D., author of Atlas of Independence: John Adams and the American Revolution and Fight Like the Devil: The First Day at Gettysburg, July 1, 1863. The program explores the critical moments leading into the Battle of Gettysburg, underscoring the town’s significance as a turning point in American history and its continued relevance in national memory.
Dinner takes place inside the United Lutheran Seminary Refectory. Advance registration is required, and seating is limited.
