Taco Tuesday with Tim Smith

Join Gettysburg History for Taco Tuesday with Tim, a new lunchtime program featuring historian Tim Smith. During this engaging mid-day event, Tim will share stories of restaurants that once called Gettysburg home, from familiar favorites to places that have faded from memory. Through historic photographs, brochures, and other materials, he will explore how these eateries shaped everyday life in Gettysburg and how dining in town has evolved over the years.

Guests will enjoy a taco bar lunch that includes soft shell flour tortillas and hard corn taco shells, fire-braised chicken, seasoned taco beef, Mexican rice, refried beans, chips and salsa, shredded cheddar, shredded lettuce, fresh pico de gallo, sour cream, and assorted cookies.

This program offers a unique opportunity to spend the lunch hour enjoying good food and a look back at a lesser-known side of Gettysburg’s past. Tickets are $35 for Gettysburg History members and $40 for general admission, and may be purchased online.
