Adams County Library System presents The Assassination & Funeral of Abraham Lincoln on Thursday, November 5, from 6:00–7:00 PM at the Adams County Library System, 140 Baltimore St., Gettysburg, PA 17325. This compelling history program examines the tragic events surrounding the assassination of the nation’s 16th president and the extraordinary funeral journey that followed.

Presenter Allison Duke explores the investigation, the people involved, and the remarkable series of funeral ceremonies that honored Abraham Lincoln after his death. Beginning with the first funeral in Washington, D.C., Lincoln’s final journey continued through 11 additional ceremonies over 20 days, creating one of the most significant public commemorations in American history. Framed with the suspense of a murder mystery, this presentation reveals a story grounded entirely in historical fact while offering fresh insight into one of the nation’s defining moments.
