The Great Bear Gathering at The Barn Resort

The Great Bear Gathering brings a wave of nostalgia back to the former Boyds Bear Country Barn property at The Barn Resort in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Families, collectors, and longtime fans return to the iconic barn setting for a full day packed with teddy bear memories, creative experiences, and classic Gettysburg charm.

Guests can explore a pop-up bear museum and memory displays celebrating the history of the beloved destination while connecting with fellow collectors during meet-and-swap sessions throughout the day. Activities across The Barn Resort include bear workshops, kids crafts, teddy bear picnic experiences, photo opportunities, and a “Bear Hospital” repair station designed to give treasured bears a little extra care.

The celebration continues with live music, adopt-a-bear experiences, and the evening “Bears & Brews” gathering that adds a relaxed social atmosphere to the event. Visitors are encouraged to bring favorite bears from years past and reconnect with the tradition that made the former Boyds Bear Country Barn a must-visit stop for generations traveling through Gettysburg and south-central Pennsylvania.
