The York Springs, A Celebrated Watering Place

Learn the history of “The York Springs, a Celebrated Watering Place” with Cathay Snyder, YOSS President and adjunct history professor at Messiah University. Snyder has been researching the hotel for several years and on Monday evening, September 15, at 7:30, she will be presenting her research at 408 Main Street, York Springs.

The site’s history can be traced back from before the hotel’s founding to its demise by fire in 1897 and illustrates the importance of the land and the spring to Native Americans and settlers before the American Revolution to prominent individuals and families after the war.

Everyone is welcome to come learn about this local history.
