Adams County Library in Gettysburg presents Trials and Punishment: Crime in the 18th Century, a program taking place on May 5 from 6–7 PM. Matthew Wedd, executive director of Conococheague Institute, will explore historical crime and punishment through past cases of murder, theft, and infanticide from England and the region. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in recreated court trials as defendants, prosecutors, witnesses, or jurors, bringing history to life with the feel of a murder mystery.
