Seminary Ridge Museum & Education Center presents “Visit Lee’s Headquarters,” a seasonal public history program held Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. throughout June, July, and August in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Taking place at the historic Mary Thompson House along Buford Avenue (Route 30), just north of Seminary Ridge, this program offers a close-up look at one of the most significant sites from the Battle of Gettysburg.
Interpreters from Seminary Ridge Museum and the American Battlefield Trust guide visitors through the property, sharing the story of the fierce fighting on July 1, 1863, and the building’s later role as Confederate General Robert E. Lee’s headquarters. The experience highlights Gettysburg’s central place in American history while supporting ongoing preservation efforts tied to the nation’s 250th anniversary.
Visitors should meet at 401 Buford Avenue. Additional open dates may be offered by the American Battlefield Trust.
