World War II Big Band Dance
World War II American Experience will host the World War II Big Band Dance on September 19, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This special event invites the community to step back in time for an evening of music, dancing, and nostalgia inspired by the World War II era.

Featuring live entertainment by the Generations Big Band, the dance will authentically recreate the sound and social traditions of the 1940s. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a lively and immersive experience that celebrates the spirit of the home front while connecting modern audiences with the history of the Greatest Generation

This program represents preservation through its faithful recreation of WWII-era music and culture, celebration by bringing people together for a shared community experience, and innovation through its interactive approach to engaging audiences with history.

The event will take place at World War II American Experience, located at 845 Crooked Creek Road in Gettysburg.
