Modeled after actual refreshment saloons that existed during the American Civil War to offer weary soldiers a place to have a meal and a brief respite from the harsh realities of war, the Refreshment Saloon has been a staple for on-site dining since opening the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center. Added as a second on-site dining option in July 2017, the Battlegrounds Café & Grille offers hot and cold food selections, made-to-order coffees, snacks and local favorites, ice cream and Adams County apple dumplings. Outdoor patio seating available.
On-site National Park Service programming and Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center attractions are offered to our guests.
