Welcome to Hickory Bridge Farm, located in the country, at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, 9 miles west of Gettysburg. The “Farm” has been owned and operated by the Martin family, who have been in the hospitality industry for over 50 years.
The restaurant located in a beautifully restored barn that is over 160 years old and is adorned with hundreds of farm related antiques. Fine linens and old fashion place settings are on each table. During the summer months, the restaurant is decorated with fresh flowers from the farm’s garden.
Hickory Bridge Farm is well known for their hospitality and their delicious dinners. All farm dinners include American foods that were favored by the area’s German settlers and are family recipes. Each meal begins with appetizers served from an antique sleigh. A salad is served with our own warm bacon dressing, complemented with homemade spiced peaches, fresh bread and apple butter. Several entrees are served family style including our popular Crab Imperial. With the entrees, several vegetables are served as well as stewed apples and our delicious corn fritters. Like all farm dinners, a meal would not be complete without a homemade dessert.
The serving hours at the farm are unique. We serve to individual guests on Friday 3:30pm to 7:30pm, Saturday 3:30pm to 8:00pm and on Sunday from 11:30am to 3:00pm. Large parties of 30 or more are accommodated Monday through Saturday, midday or Monday through Thursday evening. Reservations are very important, so be sure to call early so we have enough potatoes in the pot!
