The Cashtown Inn, located on Old Route 30 in Orrtanna, remains one of the most historic inns in America and offers fine dining in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Located 8 miles west of Gettysburg, the inn’s rich history dates back to its origins as a stagecoach stop in 1797, a licensed tavern in 1815, and an armed encampment site in June and July of 1863.
Nestled among neighboring orchards, vineyards, and wineries, The Cashtown Inn reflects the appeal and charm of South Mountain and invites guests in with a variety of menus. The fine dining menu, served Thursdays through Saturdays all year long, features elevated, classic cuisine selected by Executive Chef William Martino. On Wednesdays, the inn presents a Hometown Menu spotlighting starters, burgers, and sandwiches. The menus also include several gluten free options and utilize locally sourced ingredients, as available.
The Cashtown Inn once served as a four-room inn under the ownership of Peter Marck and now, under the ownership of Danielle and Jeremy Davis, the inn continues the tradition of providing for travelers and guests by offering banquet menus for small groups, a country style breakfast Sunday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and lunch-only hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from Spring through Fall. (Winter hours will vary.)
