Lincoln Into Art is an exciting, contemporary fine-art gallery, featuring the distinctive Lincoln portraits of internationally acclaimed artist Wendy Allen. It is located at 329 Baltimore St., in the heart of Gettysburg’s historic district and occupies the ground floor of a beautifully restored Civil War-era home that dates from 1850.
“Lincoln’s face,” Allen explains, is both familiar and comforting. It symbolizes humanity, wisdom, and moral courage. My hope is that, by transforming the black-and-white and sepia images of the past, my art will keep Lincoln within our grasp. I want people to see him as a modern figure, still powerful and relevant and with much to teach us. He never ceases to inspire me.”
It’s a must-see in Gettysburg!
Lincoln Into Art offers Allen’s original portraits, limited-edition giclée prints, posters, postcards, and more.
Lincoln Into Art is one of the world’s most unique art galleries, and Allen is the only known artist who devotes herself passionately to one subject.
