Beyond the Battlefield: Discovering Quaker Valley

Go beyond the battlefield and discover the Quaker Valley, just 8 miles north of Gettysburg. This is where the fruit growing industry started and where early Quaker settlers worked with free Negroes on Yellow Hill to bring others to freedom on the Underground Railroad. The area is still farmland yet today, some owned by descendents of early Quakers who came here in the 1700's. The hills are alive and spectacular in all four seasons!

Stay here and you can wake up and smell the blossoms! Stay at the Quaker Valley Guesthouse.

Visit local these farm markets:

Hollabaugh Brothers also provides a farm tour to groups for a nominal fee. This should be scheduled in advance.

Guests of this package will receive a 10% discount off any purchase over $10 at a local farm market. While there you can take a quick tour of the farm and enjoy scenic views of the Quaker Valley.
