Association of Licensed Battlefield Guides – Guided battlefield tours are being offered caravan style, guides driving their own cars with visitors following behind in their car(s). GettysBike, LLC – Offering one tour a day, our “Grand Tour” (3.5 hours), at 10 a.m., Mon. – Sat. and Sun. by appointment only. Our Historian and Family tours are still available by special arrangement. Please call 717-752-7752 to set one up. GettysBike tours limits group sizes in accordance with the mandates of the State of Pennsylvania. This number will change over time. Please call for latest information.
Gettysburg Driving Tour – The self-guided tour enables you to drive Gettysburg National Military Park’s 16-stop auto tour.
Gettysburg National Military Park – Gettysburg National Military Park will continue to allow Licensed Battlefield Guide operations, commercial operators, and special park uses. Licensed Battlefield Guides, permits, and special park uses are to comply with state reopening guidance and public health guidance which include limiting gatherings to less than 250 people and maintaining social distancing.
Park Rangers will provide informal interpretation services through intermittent roves, or visits, to different areas of the battlefield.
Public restrooms will begin to reopen throughout the battlefield. Portable toilets are available at ten locations throughout the battlefield.
Gettysburg NMP grounds, roads, trails, and parking areas remain open to the public. Park gates will be opened and closed at their normal times.
Eisenhower National Historic Site allows for limited temporary onsite parking to allow free access to the grounds of the Eisenhower Farm and Farm 2 (Brandon Farm), access to the Audio Tour, and access to the interpretive waysides present on the site. The Eisenhower Home and Reception Center continue to be closed. Park Rangers will provide informal interpretation services through intermittent roves, or visits, to different areas of the site. Public restrooms, located in the lower level of the Eisenhower Bank Barn and Show Barn, will begin to reopen on weekends. A temporary restroom will be available at the east end of the temporary parking lot.
The historic George Spangler Farm & Field Hospital will be open to visitors on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. through Sunday, Aug. 9, 2020.
The Wills House, observation towers, and the Pennsylvania Memorial observation level remain closed.
