Commemorate the 163rd anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg with the special “Battle in the Streets” walking tour, offered June 30 through July 5 at 6:00 p.m. by Gettysburg Licensed Town Guides. This 60-minute guided experience explores the streets, alleys, and neighborhoods where Gettysburg residents found themselves caught in the fighting as the battle reached the town on July 1, 1863.

Led by a Gettysburg Licensed Town Guide, the tour highlights the civilian experience during the three-day battle, sharing firsthand accounts and historical insights that reveal how local residents endured the conflict as it unfolded around them. Using historic photographs and primary-source narratives, guides bring Gettysburg’s streets to life through stories that extend beyond the battlefield.

Advance reservations are required. Guests with mobility limitations are encouraged to notify organizers when booking so accommodations can be made.
