Horse Tours of Gettysburg invites guests to ride into history on a two-hour horse drawn carriage ride through Culp’s Hill sector of the Gettysburg Battlefield. As the carriage passes through the area of the longest continuous sustained fighting of the battle, a Licensed battlefield Guide describes the action on the right flank of the Union army during those three fateful days in July of 1863 as Confederate forces attempted to overrun the very strong defensive position held by the Union forces.

Although the Gettysburg residents of the time regarded Culp’s Hill as the most important part of the battle, visitation here today is eclipsed by the action at the left flank in places like Little Round Top and the Peach Orchard.

Explore the history and then decide.
