Join Licensed Battlefield Guides and retired medical professionals Dr. Richard Schroeder and Fran Feyock, CRNA, for a discussion of the specific wounds suffered by both Union and Confederate officers in the attack and defense of Cemetery Ridge on July 2 and 3, 1863. Wounds to individuals like Generals Hancock, Armistead and Cushing will be highlighted in the presentation. Injuries to less well-known people like Henry Ropes, Sumner Paine and Lewis Williams will be part of the discussion.
The program will begin at 9 a.m. in the Ford Motor Company Fund Education Center in the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center for a brief introduction before moving onto the Battlefield via a bus. Walking will be on level ground, approximately one mile in distance. The tour will end at approximately 12:30 p.m.
