Orchard Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides

Enjoy a one-hour horse-drawn carriage tour through beautiful Adams County orchards and landscapes.

Step back in time at SilverShire Farm to the era of the 1800’s where time seems to have slowed down. Take a carriage ride with us through the picturesque countryside and apple orchards of Adams County located just north of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Our farmers produce more apples than anywhere in Pennsylvania as well as other fruits and vegetables. Your carriage will be pulled by two gentle giants, our Shire draft horses. Shires are the largest of all the draft breeds. Along the way you will also see a multitude of animals to include an Elk herd. We will narrate your journey with a history of the area during the Civil War Battle at Gettysburg, as well as that of the orchards and the history of the Shire horse. At the end of the ride you can meet the team and the rest of the horses. You will have many photographs and memories that last a lifetime.
