Hear the rafters whisper and walk where ghosts still march!

Step into the attic of the Historic Farnsworth House Inn and feel the air change as your guide draws you into the sharpshooter’s world. The tiny window that framed those fatal shots, the thumb-smudged dust on the sill, the soft, impossible exhale that seems to come from nowhere. Stand in the garret where men held their breath and never let it go.

Then step back into the town, where the streets still remember. Follow along where phantom regiments are said to march at dusk: uniforms glimpsed in fog, boots that leave no prints, and drums that fade into the brick. Your guide will weave eyewitness accounts and local lore with the hard facts of July 1863 until the line between what was recorded and what returns as night blurs.

Learn of the tragic story of General Elon J. Farnsworth’s last charge where the ground remembers the thunder of hooves, the sudden terrible silence, and the names of the men who never came home.
